What it's worth.

In case you don't happen to be a regular reader of The Gazz or The Charleston Gazette, here's that little interview I did with that Beatles guy. As is the case with all conversations, you don't always get something out of it. I did this time.

Life is now, not fifty years ago when you got kicked out of a rock band.

I remember some years ago, the comedian Jack Dee said he had met Pete Best. As I can remember, his comments went like this.

"Pete Best was the original drummer for the Beatles, and then left to get 'a proper job'. Do you think his wife wakes him up with a cup of tea every morning and says, 'here you go, Pete. Here's your tea. You TOSSER.' (and makes a throwing-hot-tea-over-Pete-Best motion)".

à propos of little other than a funny - if poorly researched - joke. But good for him for at least making peace with it. A lesser man would have tried to sue...
